Verna I. Keeport, 99, of the Mennonite Home and lifelong resident of Manor Township, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Amos H. Keeport, who passed away on September 15, 1995. She was born in Manor Twp., daughter of the late Martin G. and Ida Harnish Sauder. Verna was the oldest member of Millersville Mennonite Church. She enjoyed flowers, plants, and doing jigsaw and word-search puzzles. Verna was concerned about other people and helping them in any way she could.
She is survived by her children: Grace I. (Assefa) Haile; Evelyn R. Mellinger; Robert E. (Linda M.) Keeport; and Anna Mae (Marvin) Fultz. Nine grandchildren. Fifteen great-grandchildren. Two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son: Amos S. Keeport. Two brothers and four sisters.
The Funeral Service will be held at Millersville Mennonite Church, 437 Manor Ave., Millersville on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastors Wesley and Millie Penner, officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.
