Reginald L. “Punch” Jones, 57, of Landisville, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Deborah L. Sheldon Jones, with whom he celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary on November 14, 2017. He was born in Newport News, Virginia, son of the late Albert W. and Viola M. Carter Jones. He was a Machinist having worked for Micro-Precision, FL Smidth, Manheim, TE Connectivity, Mount Joy, and also Career-Link. He was a member of Bright Side Baptist Church, where he was a trustee and usher. He was a retired Master Sergeant from the US Army, having served in Desert Storm and Desert Shield. Punch was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and he enjoyed spending time with his family and his children, whom he cherished very much.
Surviving in addition to his wife, his children: Reginald L. Graves, Landisville; Mekeshia L. Jones, companion of Paul Margeson, Jr., Landisville; TaWanda M. Jones, Manor Twp.; Marcus A. (Shanice) Jones, Millersville. Six grandchildren: Teazra, Zikey, Cameron, Olivia, Aundrea, and Marcus, Jr. Father-in-law: Rupert Sheldon, Lancaster. Siblings: Mabel Jones, Newport News, VA; Daniel Robinson, Newport News, VA; Tyron (Lillie) Robinson, Yorktowne, VA; and Albert (Delores) Jones, Sr., Menifee, CA. Several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by, siblings: Josephine Jones, Brenda Anthony, Patricia Anthony, and Melvin Jones.
The Homegoing Service will be held at Bright Side Baptist Church, 515 Hershey Avenue, Lancaster on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 12:00 Noon. Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon. Please omit flowers.
