Wilda M. "Dolly" Varner, 88, of Concordia Road, West Hempfield Twp, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy, less than a mile from where she was born in Salunga. She was the wife of John F. Varner to whom she was married for 41 years. Dolly was a unique lady who believed in hard work and doing a job right. She worked at J L Clark, Mfg Company for 49 years before her retirement in 1995. She prided herself in doing purity work and meeting productive goals. Some could remember Dolly from the 70's at the Manor Ridge Inn. Now she is in a better place enjoying a frozen Margarita with "salt" and waiting for her meal to be reheated. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Columbia Lodge #1074 BPOE where she was a past secretary.

Surviving in addition to her husband, one sister: Mary wife of Raymond Rynier, Gordonville. Nephew: Randy husband of Connie Rynier, Rawlinsville. Nieces: Betty Ann Baurs, Lancaster; and Patti wife of Jack Sloop, Tega Cay, SC. One stepson: John husband of Susan Varner, York. Dolly was preceded in death by two sisters: Shirley Bradley and Martha Brown.

The Memorial Service will be held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Mountville on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. To send an online condolence, visit the condolence page.
