Barry Lee Gager

 

 

Barry Lee Gager, 70, of Pequea Township, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at home. He was born in Lancaster, son of the late Billy N. and Nancy Hummer Gager. He was a State Corrections Officer for Central Florida Reception Center, Orlando for 10 years before his retirement. Barry was a Veteran of the US Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a volunteer fire fighter with Maytown-East Donegal Township Volunteer Fire Company and enjoyed collecting fire fighting memorabilia, hunting, fishing and being with his family.

He is survived by one son: Michael L. Gager (significant other: Gretchen Miller) and daughter: Susan M. Gager, all of Lancaster. Five grandchildren: Justine Goldsborough (significant other: Greg Gervasi), Mountville; Hunter Goldsborough, Washington Boro; Chris Mummau, Willow Street; Zachary (Julia) Gager, serving in Belgium; and Autumn Gager, Lancaster. One brother: William Gager, Colombia, South America. Two sisters: Kathy Snavely, Lancaster and Tracy Sedlock (significant other: Brian Ham), Margate, FL. One niece: Becky Schatz, Lancaster. Three nephews: Anthony Snavely, Lancaster, Eric Sedlock and Jeff Sedlock, Margate, FL.
