George Roberts, 80, of Mount Joy, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at St. Anne's Retirement Community. He was the husband of Evelyn M. Nielsen Roberts with whom he celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary on October 1, 2018. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Alfred and Esther Spencer Roberts. George was a repair person for Xerox Corp for 30 years before his retirement. He was a member of Christ the King Community Church; a Veteran of the US Army; enjoyed motorcycles, having ridden to California; Ham Radios; and trains.
Surviving in addition to his wife, his children: Elizabeth (Joseph) Roberts-Morse; George A. (Annette) Roberts; Timothy A. (Heidi J.) Roberts. Step-daughters: Marie (Anthony) Mirabella; Jackie (John) Santiago; Jennifer (Chris) Barbieri. Eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. One brother: James (Lenore) Roberts. He was preceded in death by one sister: Lillian Edwardson.
The Funeral Service will be held at Christ the King Community Church, 2449 Marietta Avenue, Lancaster on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Allan D. Chambers, officiating. Graveside Service and Burial will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Hillside Cemetery, 2556 Susquehanna Road, Abington, PA 19001. Please omit flowers.
