Mary Elizabeth Fisher, 92, of St. Anne’s Retirement Community, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Daniel S. Fisher, III, who passed away on October 5, 1990. She was born in Lancaster, daughter of the late Jacob F. Haas and Loretta Abel Haas Barthold Myers. She was a waitress for many years at the BPOE #134, Lancaster. Mary was a member of Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church where she did quilting, and enjoyed flowers, needle work, and embroidery.
She is survived by her children: Daniel L. (Diane L.) Fisher, Lancaster; Frederick W. (Kathleen Snider) Fisher, Furlong, PA; Gayle L. (Kenneth D.) Peters, Washington Boro; and Byron S. (Mary E.) Fisher, Columbia. Ten grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Niece: Pamela Duke, Fayetteville, NC. She was preceded in death by a grandson: Daniel W. Fisher, and one brother: John Barthold.
The Funeral Service will be held at Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3825 Concordia Rd., Columbia, PA 17512 on Monday, October 9, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Mary Anne Kingsborough, officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.
