John H. Graham

John H. Graham, 85, of Landisville, passed away peacefully at home, on Monday, November 2, 2026. He was the husband of Louise A. Brown Graham, with whom he celebrated 61 years of marriage.

John was born in Windber, the youngest of six children born to John F. and Kathryn Burkhart Graham. He was a 1959 graduate of Edinburg High School, Virginia and a 1963 graduate of Elizabethtown College. John taught History and World Cultures at Hempfield High School, retiring after 33 years. He then began a second career, working for several tour companies, giving tours of Lancaster County, ending this career with the Amish Experience.

A passionate sports fan, John played and coached baseball, basketball, and fast pitch softball. If he wasn't playing, he was watching any sport on TV. He took up golf late in life, enjoying time on the course with friends as much as the skill of the game.

Always fond of traveling, John planned and enjoyed many trips locally and in the US and abroad for family and friends.

Throughout his life, John's hobby was creating many beautiful pieces of fine needlework. He often gifted these to family and frineds.

John was a man of faith and family. As a member of Mountville Church of the Brethren, he found many ways to serve his church. Above all, John was devoted to his family and happiest being a husband and father. John wishes you to remember him in good health and enjoying life.

"Those were the days, my friends."

Surviving in addition to his wife, one son: Michael L. (Shannon) Graham, Landisville and many nieces and nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Galen E., Wilbur J., and Alan D. Graham. Two sisters: Arlene E. Brown and Fay M. Lefever.

A Private Family Funeral will be planned for a later date. Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to: Masonic Village Hospice. Arrangements by the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., Mountville/Columbia. To send an online condolence, visit the condolence page.
