Raymond W. Burkholder, 83, of Washington Boro, went to be with his Lord and Savior, peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Lois Bowman Burkholder, with whom he celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on October 20, 2018. He was born in Clay Twp., son of the late John H. and Mary Wenger Burkholder. Raymond attended Faith Bible Fellowship Church. He was a lifelong farmer and enjoyed gardening, hunting, skiing, and Bluegrass music. He also loved taking his family to the beach and the cabin in Potter County.

Surviving in addition to his wife, his children: Robert (Sallie) Burkholder; Dana (Mark) Smith; Joyce (Richard) Funk; and Judy (Lewis) Witmer, all of Manor Twp. Fourteen grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren. Siblings: Paul Burkholder, Ruth Breneman, Clyde Burkholder, Ezra Burkholder, Jean Zimmerman-Alvisi, and Glenn (Phoebe) Burkholder.

The Memorial Service will be held at Faith Bible Fellowship Church, 151 Donerville Road, Lancaster, PA 17603 on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor David A. Thomann, officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to: Faith Bible Fellowship Building Fund or Hospice and Community Care, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
