James R. Zerphy, 90, of West Hempfield Township, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Pauline R. Zerphy, who passed away in 2013. He was born in Lancaster, son of the late Floyd and Mildred Brunner Zerphy. He did shipping/receiving for Armstrong World Industries for 35 years before his retirement. James was a veteran of the US Army who loved the outdoors, his animals, the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles, and all racing.

He is survived by four daughters: Kathleen (Edward) Bachman; Cheryl LaBow; Dawn Murr; and Tamela Zerphy. Eight grandchildren. Eighteen great-grandchildren. Two great-great-grandchildren. One brother: Thomas (Terry) Zerphy. One sister: Sally Williams. He was preceded in death by four children and one brother: Peter Zerphy.

The Funeral Service will be held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Mountville, on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. Interment in Concordia Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Please omit flowers.
