Jere C. Newcomer, 93, of East Petersburg, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Stella G. Newcomer, who passed away in 2012. Jere was born in York, son of the late Harold and Gladys Richardson Newcomer. He worked as a supervisor for the Fuller Company, Manheim. Jere was a member of Ironville United Methodist Church, a Veteran of the US Coast Guard, serving during the Korean Conflict and enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by two daughters: Sharon L. (late Mark A.) Kirchner and Debbie A. (Scott J.) Wible. Three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister: Inez Pinkerton.
The Memorial Service will be held at Ironville United Methodist Church, 4020 Holly Drive, Columbia, PA 17512 on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Jared Stoltzfus and Pastor Charles Deutsch, officiating. Visitation from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Interment in Mountville Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
