Donald W. Noll

September 17, 2016 Gregory Workman

Donald W. Noll, 85, of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Masonic Village. He was the husband of the late Doris V. Noll, who passed away on March 7, 2002. He was born in Columbia, son of the late George W., Sr. and Margaret Carnahan Noll. He was a tile inspector having worked for Armstrong World Industries for 40 years before his retirement in 1988. Donald was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Columbia Lodge #286 F&AM, and other Masonic organizations. He was a veteran who served with the PA National Guard and enjoyed worldwide traveling.

 He is survived by two daughters: Donna F. Smoker and Deborah A. (Gerald) Wasche, all of Lancaster. Two granddaughters: Angela M. Abramo and Melinda A. Wasche. Two great-grandchildren: Adelynn Grace Abramo and Jackson Thomas Abramo. He was preceded in death by one sister: Margot F. McKain and one brother: George W. Noll, Jr.

The Funeral Service will be held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 31 South Eighth Street, Columbia on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. J. Patrick Peters, officiating. Interment in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens with Full Military Honors. Friends may call at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., from 9:30 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. when a Masonic Service will be held. Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to: St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 340 Locust Street, Columbia, PA 17512. To send an online condolence, visit the condolence page.
