Charles A. "Charlie" Lahouchuc

Charles A. “Charlie” Lahouchuc, 73, of Lancaster passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at home. He was the husband of Rose Ellen Clark Lahouchuc with whom he shared almost 50 years of marriage. He was born in Mahanoy City, PA son of the late John and Anna Bolick Lahouchuc. Charlie was an IBEW Electrician for 37 years and was a member of IBEW Local 743, Reading and also a member of the former IBEW Local 414, Lancaster where he served one term on the executive board. He was a graduate of Mahanoy Area High School, Class of 1961 and attended Stevens Trade School. He was a veteran of the US Navy and served aboard the USS Grant County during the Cuban Missile Crisis and Blockade. He was a member of the American Legion Post #34, Lancaster and enjoyed fishing on the Delaware Bay and more recently spent summers on “THE ISLAND” in the Susquehanna River. In the 70’s, Charlie entered his 360 cc Yamaha in many enduro’s. Charlie had many talents, and was quite an inventor. He could weld or fix just about anything mechanical or electrical. He loved his 1997 Dodge Ram Truck, custom painted with American Flags and a huge Eagle.

Surviving in addition to his wife, his two sons: Charles A. “Chaz” Lahouchuc, Jr., Columbia and Eric Lahouchuc, husand of Krista (Kyle) Lahouchuc, Lancaster. Two grandsons: Logan and Conner. One brother: Joseph Lahouchuc, Virginia Beach, VA.

The Family would like to thank his doctor, nurses, lab RN’s, and the friendly transport workers at the Ann B. Barshinger Institute.

The Memorial Service will be held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Mountville on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Charles A. Deutsch, officiating. Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. To send an online condolence, visit the condolence page.
