Warren L. Weaver, Sr.

Warren L. Weaver, Sr., 96, of the Mennonite Home, formerly of Washington Boro, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Fannie E. Weaver. In his later years, he was the companion of Dottie Diller. He was born in Brownstown, son of the late Jonathan and Lizzie Hurst Weaver. He worked as a set-up person for RCA; part-time delivering for Wiley's Pharmacy, Lancaster and Fries Flowers for 10 years. He was a member of Central Manor Church of God, where he was a former Sunday School Superintendent and sound system coordinator. Warren was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during WWII; was a member of Lookout Hunting Camp in Clinton County and a member and Past President (1996) of Golden Agers Lancaster.

He is survived by two sons: Dennis L. (Carol) Weaver, Butler; and Duane E. (Karen) Weaver, Ashland, OH. Fourteen grandchildren. Twenty-five great-grandchildren. Five great-great-grandchildren. Two daughters-in-law: Sharon Weaver and Joanne Weaver. Warren was preceded in death by two sons: Warren L. Weaver, Jr. and Bruce L. Weaver. Six brothers and six sisters.

The Funeral Service will be held at Central Manor Church of God, 387 Penn Street, Washington Boro, PA 17582, on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Ed Rosenberry, officiating. Interment in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Friends may call at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Mountville on Tuesday, from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and also at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to: The Missionary Fund of Central Manor Church of God, or Hospice and Community Care.
