Terry K. Sears, 75, of Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at home. He was the husband of Renae E. Leech Sears, with whom he would have celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary on April 2, 2026. He was born in Ellettsville, IN, son of the late Owen and Elma Higgins Sears. Terry was an agricultural salesperson, and his second career was in real estate and appraisals. He was a graduate of Purdue University and was a very avid Boilermakers fan. He enjoyed traveling, especially going to Williamsburg, Mount Gretna in the summer with his grandchildren and friends and spending time with his family. He was also a member of Abraham C. Treichler Masonic Lodge #682.

Surviving in addition to his wife, his children: James Vera; Joel Vera; Mark (Cathy) Vera; Sherri Vera; Anthony Vera; Christopher (Pam) Vera and Lisa Schoenly. Sixteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. One brother: Kevin (Cheryl) Sears and Karen Sparks. One niece: Jessica Sears. One grandnephew: Kaleb Sears. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

The Memorial Service will be held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 31 South Eighth Street, Columbia on SATURDAY, JANUARY 31, 2026, AT 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. with a Masonic Service at 10:45 A.M. Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to: the Alzheimer's Association.
