Jean O. Stauffer Edwards, 82, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at St. Anne's Retirement Community. She was the loving wife of the late Barrie D. Edwards. Jean was born and raised in the village of Holtwood, daughter of the late Raymond O. and Vera M. Kern Stauffer. She was a graduate of Penn Manor High School and was a member of Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church. Jean worked in the banking industry for over 40 years in various positions. After retiring from the banking world, she volunteered in the office at Manor Veterinary Clinic. Jean's love of animals was her passion. In her spare time, she enjoyed working with various rescue groups, to save and better the life of many animals, particularly dogs. Her heart though, belonged to her German Shepherds that she adopted. She believed them to be "very smart and loving dogs". Jean also enjoyed traveling all over the western United States and also loved spending time in Walt Disney World. Even in her later years, she enjoyed going to Disney.

She is survived by one brother: Charles (Linda) Stauffer, Harrisburg and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister: Elaine Funk.
