Phyllis J. Miller, 88, formerly of Mountville, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Masonic Village. She was born in Mountville, daughter of the late John K. Heisey and Esther Hable Stoudt. Phyllis was a graduate of Hazelton High School, Class of 1955.
Phyllis was a cook at the Children's Home of York and later worked at Leisure Lanes. She enjoyed reading, gardening, watching television, especially the Hallmark Channel, playing cards and arts and crafts.
She is survived by three daughters: Susan Getz, Conestoga; Pamela (Thomas) Kiscaden, Elizabethtown and Molly (Wade) Miller, Wrightsville. One son: Edgar Getz, III, Wrightsville. Nine grandchildren: Jessica Karr; Jonathon Getz; Ajay Dixon; Tiffany Jansen; Natalie Strickler; Kelby Klahold; Austin Douglas; Clayton Miller and Madison Miller. Fourteen great-grandchildren. One brother: John "Jack" Heisey, Shillington. She was preceded in death by one son: John Getz. One brother: Ronald Heisey and one sister Erla Jean Broich.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Mountville on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. with her grandson, Mr. Ajay Dixon, officiating. Viewing will be on Thursday from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and also on Friday from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Interment in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
