Evelyn M. Somers, 87, of Lancaster, formerly of Norvelt, passed away on Friday, December2, 2016 at St. Anne’s Retirement Community, Columbia, PA. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Somers, who passed away in 1994. She was born in United, daughter of the late Jacob and Josephine Frances Schick Lowther. Evelyn was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of Pleasant Unity Memorial Post #8643. She also enjoyed her family.
She is survived by: James E. Fox, Lancaster, husband of the late Debra A. Fox. Two grandchildren: Heather L. wife of Mike V. Mailus, Millersville and Eric R. husband of Kristi L. Stahlman, Lancaster. Five great-grandchildren. In addition to her daughter, she was preceded in death by two brothers.
The Memorial Service will be held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Mountville on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. David D. Kreider, officiating. Interment in Hillview Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Please omit flowers.
