Farrell L. Poole

Farrell L. Poole, 85, of Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2016. He was the husband of Joan A. Poole, who passed away on February 11, 2016. He was born in Columbia, son of the late Joseph Poole and Mabel Keiser Poole Eshelman. He worked as a laborer for Armstrong World Industries and PennDot before his retirement. He was a veteran of the US Army and a lifetime member and former trustee of Columbia Fire Company #1. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking.

 He is survived by two sons: Richard A. (Terry M.) Poole, Columbia and Michael D. (Renae L.) Poole, Wrightsville. Four grandchildren: Matthew, Meranda, Justin, and Jared. Two great-grandchildren: Walker and Hudson. He was preceded in death by one son: Glenn Poole. Three brother: Harlan, Joseph, and Ephraim Poole. Three sisters: Clara Haake, Erla Clark, and Helen Meiskey.

 The Funeral Service will be held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 31 South Eighth Street, Columbia on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Barbara A. Caruana, officiating. Interment in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens with Full Military Honors. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Please omit flowers.
