Emmy L. Ezren

Emmy L. Ezren, 81, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Hamilton Arms Center. She was the wife of the late Charles Ezren, Jr. to whom she was married for 57 years before he passed away on December 7, 2015. She was born in Colerain Twp., daughter of the late Samuel H. and Myrtle B. Thomas Groff. Emmy worked at Y & S Candies for 20 years before retiring in 1999. She was a member of Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening, flowers, going to the shore at Rehoboth Beach, cooking for family holiday dinners, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her children: Sharon L. (Ed) Fisher, Lancaster; Barry C. (Lisa) Ezren, Rexmont; Debra M. (Scott) Wolfe, Mountville; and Denise G. (Jeff) Hartman, Lititz. Eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Three brothers: Samuel T. (Connie) Groff, Peach Bottom; Donald Groff, Weichert; and Robert Groff, Beaver Springs.

The Memorial Service will be held at Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3825 Concordia Road, Columbia, PA 17512 on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Mary Anne Kingsborough, officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to: Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church. Arrangements by the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., Mountville/Columbia.
