Paul W. Zimmerman, Jr.

Paul W. Zimmerman, Jr., 84, of Columbia, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017. He was the husband of Janet Ferguson Zimmerman with whom he celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on January 23, 2017. He was born in Columbia, son of the late Paul W., Sr. and Beatrice E. Schoenberger Zimmerman. He was the owner and former president of Paul W. Zimmerman Foundries. Paul was a veteran with the First Division US Marine Corps, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a very active member and past commander of Reese-Hall VFW Post 8757, Mountville. Paul was also a member of the Conestoga Foundrymen’s Association; and the Columbia-Middletown BPOE #1074. He was a Penn State football fan and enjoyed gardening, yardwork, and his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his wife, one daughter: Terri L. Zimmerman and one son: Michael B. (Andrea M.) Zimmerman, all of Columbia. Four grandchildren: Desiree E. and Michael D. Patton; and Paul M. and Bryan A. Zimmerman. One great-granddaughter: Araya C. Leonard. One brother: David L. Zimmerman, Willow Street. One sister: Louise A. (Carl) Harnish, Columbia. He was preceded in death by one brother: Jere A. Zimmerman.

Interment will be in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens with Full Military Honors.
