James E. Wollaston, Sr.

James E. Wollaston, Sr., 84, of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at home. He was the husband of Lorraine R. Pierantozzi Wollaston with whom he would have celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on August 18, 2017. He was born in Newark, DE, son of the late George W. and Frances Grey Wollaston. He was an insurance agent for New York Life for more than 55 years, and also worked at the Manheim Auto Auction. He was a member of Newark Methodist Church; and a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. He attended Valley Forge Military Academy for two years in 1951 and 1952. He was a graduate of Goldey Beacom College on February 8, 1957. He enjoyed playing cards, going to Deweyand Rehoboth Beaches where he enjoyed surfing, and was a member of Brandywine Forest #20, TCL, Wilmington.

Surviving in addition to his wife, his children: Karen A. Wilson, Donna L. Wollaston Reese, James E. (Diane) Wollaston, Jr., and Janice Wollaston (Companion of Kathy Bobeck). Five grandchildren. Seven great-grandchildren. One sister: Joyce (Roger) Deihl. He was preceded in death by four brothers.

The Funeral Service will be held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Mountville on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Friends may call at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc. from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. Please omit flowers.
