Kathryn F. Humbert

Kathryn F. Humbert, 91, of West Hempfield Township, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. Kathryn was the wife of the late Eli G. Humbert. She was born in West Hempfield Twp., daughter of the late Frank K. and Katie O. Frey Garman. She was a homemaker and also worked in the cafeteria at Farmdale Elementary School. Kathryn attended Manor Church; enjoyed reading; and volunteered at the Re-uzit Shop, Susquehanna Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and St. Anne’s Retirement Community, all of Columbia.

She is survived by three daughters: Marilyn J. Gosnell; Joanne E. Pennington; and Carol A. (Pete) Heth. Five grandchildren: Gregory Pennington; David Gosnell; Alysa Alleman; Patrick Heth; and Katie Goe. Five great-grandchildren: Brianna Alleman; Alyssa Alleman; Camryn Heth; Colin Heth; and Aisley Goe. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.

The Funeral Service will be held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 31 South Eighth Street, Columbia on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. with her niece, Pastor Elizabeth G. Nissley and Pastor Dennis K. Regitz, officiating. Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. There will be no public viewing, however, visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to: Hospice and Community Care, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125 or Lancaster County Field of Hope, 4338 Fairview Rd., Columbia, PA 17512.
