Marvin J. Buchmoyer, 81, of East Petersburg, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Helen L. Duke Buchmoyer to whom he was married for 63 years. He was born in Mount Rainier, MD son of the late John W. and Mary M. Johns Buchmoyer.  He was a Technical Representative for the Xerox Corporation for 37 years before his retirement. Marvin was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church; a graduate of Columbia High School, Class of 1954; a Veteran of the US Marine Corps Reserve, during the Korean Conflict; a member of the Landisville Lions Club; and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Surviving in addition to his wife, his children: Kelly (Larry) Eshleman, Lancaster; Steve (Mary) Buchmoyer, Delaware; Brenda Goldsborough, Ephrata; and Patti (Wally) Poague, Lititz. Eleven grandchildren. Five step-grandchildren. Eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandson: Josiah Poague. One sister: Ruth Thiel. Two brothers: Edward and Harold Buchmoyer.

The Funeral Service will be held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 31 South Eighth Street, Columbia, on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Luke Seamon, officiating. Interment in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens, with Full Military Honors. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Please omit flowers.
