Mary Kathryn Souders

Mary Kathryn Souders, 85, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the Mennonite Home. She was the loving wife of the late Rev. Aaron H. Souders, sharing 59 years of marriage before he passed away in March of 2016. She was born in Millersville, daughter of the late Phares and Ada Shank Stauffer. Mary was a homemaker and also supported her husband throughout his 40 years of ministry at Masonville Mennonite Church.

She is survived by her children: Aaron married to Dianne Souders, Millersville; Miriam wife of Luis Murillo, Lancaster; and Naomi wife of David Brenneman, Lancaster. Five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Two sisters: Verna Hershey, York and Doris Near, New Era, MI. Mary was preceded in death by two brothers: Lloyd and Lester Stauffer, and four sisters: Ruth Mellinger, Anna Stauffer, Elizabeth Stauffer, and Miriam Stauffer.

The Family would like to convey a special thank you to the staff, and everyone at the Mennonite Home, for the exceptional care of their mother.

The Funeral Service will be held at Living Light Mennonite Church (formerly Masonville Mennonite Church) 2625 Safe Harbor Road, Washington Boro, PA 17582 on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to: Living Light Mennonite Church.
