Neal G. Kresge, 74, passed away peacefully at home. He was the husband of Judy Hossler Kresge. Neal was born in Columbia, son of the late Donald and Marian Kresge.
Neal was a supportive father and a doting grandfather. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, later working as an electronic technician. Neal loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, long drives, bicycling rail trails and planning detailed road trips, ultimately traveling to 49 states with his wife. Throughout his life Neal took on projects big and small, gutting and refurbishing their first home, as well as lending a hand to friends, family and the Mountville community.
Surviving in addition to his wife, one daughter: Jenee (Jack) Gaynor. Twin grandchildren: Elena and Thomas. Two brothers: Roger (Suzanne) Kresge and Philip (Patti Grabowski) Kresge. Two sisters: Missy (Jerry) Feiler and Susan (Vance Getz) Kresge.
The Celebration of Life will be held at The Gathering Place in Mount Joy, on Monday, November 24th from 12:00 Noon to 3:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the National Parks Foundation (www.nationalparks.org) to honor his love of the National Park System, or the Rails to Trails Conservancy (www.railstotrails.org) to establish more trails like the local Northwest River Trail he so enjoyed.
