John M. Eckman, 74, of Manheim Township, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025, at Lancaster General Hospital. He was the husband of Cynthia L. Hagan Eckman with whom he would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on August 2, 2025. John was born in Lancaster, son of the late John C. and Gladys Rathkey Eckman.
John was a Lab Technician for Armstrong World Industries for 30 plus years. Following retirement, he worked for Kalas Manufacturing. He was of the Lutheran faith and enjoyed gardening, Ohio State football, all kinds of music, collecting antiques and history.
Surviving in addition to his wife, sons: Shane M. Eckman; twin sons: Seth M. Eckman and Sean P. Eckman, all of Lancaster. Two sisters: Candy (John) Stoudt and Karen (Mark) Katalinas. Sister-in-law: Lukai Eckman. He was preceded in death by one brother: Kerry S. Eckman.
The Memorial Service will be held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Mountville on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 2:30 P.M with Pastor Christopher M. Rankin, officiating. The Visitation will be from 1:30 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. To send an online condolence, visit the condolence page.
