William L. "Bill" Rittenhouse, Jr.

William L. "Bill" Rittenhouse, Jr., 86, of Manor Township, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026. He was the husband of Mary Jane Patterson Rittenhouse, with whom he celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on March 25, 2026. Bill was born in Lancaster, son of the late William L., Sr. and Eleanor M. Brachtendorf Rittenhouse.

Bill worked as a Transportation Manager for Herr & Company for 35 years and was a self-employed property manager for more than 20 years before his retirement. He was a member of Central Manor Church and attended Central Manor Camp Meeting. Bill was an avid Penn State Football fan and enjoyed going to his Valley View Hunting Camp with his family and friends. His passions were hunting and traveling.

Surviving in addition to his wife, one son: William L., III (Sheila) Rittenhouse. One daughter: Deborah S. Rittenhouse. Two granddaughters: Anna (Adam) Martin and Ally (Toby) Singer. One sister: Eleanor Dale.

The Funeral Service will be held at Central Manor Church, 387 Penn Street, Washington Boro, PA 17582 on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Scott Davis, officiating. The viewing will be from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Interment in Conestoga Memorial Park. Please omit flowers.
