Carl F. "Jim" Bender, Jr., 83, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2026. He was the husband of Linda D. Smith Bender to whom he was married for 60 years. Carl was born in Lancaster, son of the late Carl F., Sr. and Pauline May Bender. He worked as a warehouseman for Bed & Furniture Warehouse and enjoyed fishing and playing cards.
Surviving in addition to his wife, three daughters: Terri L. Golden, Columbia; Tina M. (Earl) Knipe, Mount Joy and Paula S. (Robert) Harnish, Elizabethtown. One son: Michael A. (Keshia) Bender, Elizabethtown. Sixteen grandchildren and thirty-four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter: Lee Ann Fake.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Mountville on Monday, August 10, 2026 at 12:00 Noon with Rev. David C. Powers, officiating.
