Lois L. Walk, 97, of Willow Valley Communities, formerly of Washington Boro, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at her residence at The Glen. She was the wife of the late Glen E. Walk, who passed away on December 19, 2005. She was born in Curtin Township, Centre County, PA daughter of the late Paul L. Miller and Mamie Weaver Miller. Her mother passed away during childbirth and Lois was raised by her aunt and uncle, Frances and Russell Weaver in Mill Hall, PA.
Lois was a graduate of the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf in Philadelphia, where she met her husband, whom she married on June 24, 1956. She had a career in sewing at various businesses in Columbia.
Lois was a member of Washington Boro Methodist Church and Keystone Central Deaf Senior Citizens. She loved people, was quick to smile and had a fun sense of humor. Lois enjoyed cooking, baking, crafts and loved animals, especially her dogs.
She is survived by Mark and Dana Smith, who became family to her, and their children: Stephanie Perrotti, Alan Smith, and Derek Smith. She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
Mark and Dana would like to thank all of the staff at The Glen for their loving care, as well as Caring Hospice Services for their kindness and compassion during Lois's final journey to her heavenly home.
The Celebration of Life Service will be held at the North Auditorium at Willow Valley, on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Philip Shertzer, officiating. ASL interpretation will be provided. Check-in will be at the gatehouse at the Manor entrance, Dorianne Drive and Locust Lane, Willow Street, and follow signs to the North Building.
