Paul H. Hinkle, Jr.

Paul H. Hinkle, Jr., 83, of Fleetwood, formerly of Marietta, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Kutztown Manor. He was the husband of Dolores M. Ford Hinkle, with whom he celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on September 3, 2017. He was born in Marietta, son of the late Paul H., Sr. and Esther Alberts Hinkle. Paul was a truck driver for Consolidate Freightways for 24 years and was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church; the VFW and American Legion. He enjoyed traveling, grocery shopping, his dog, “Sniffles”, and his passion was his family. He also worked with the prison ministry in Allentown.

Surviving in addition to his wife, one son: John W. Hinkle, Troy, PA. Two daughters: Pennie J. (Joel J.) Kehres, Lancaster; and Wendy J. (Mike) Medina, Fleetwood. Ten grandchildren. Seventeen great-grandchildren. One great-great-grandson. One brother: Jacob Hinkle, Clay, PA. One sister: Madge (John) Freich, Daytona Beach, FL. He was preceded in death by one son: Paul H. Hinkle, III. One brother: John Hinkle. Three sisters: Ladine Kipp; Mildred Metzger; and Doris Hinkle.

The Funeral Service will be held at Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, 36 N. Eighth St., Columbia, PA 17512 on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Don Wirt, officiating. Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to: Grace Evangelical Congregational Church. Arrangements by the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., Columbia/Mountville.
