Leroy Mosteller

Leroy Mosteller, 93, of Columbia, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Susquehanna Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of the late Nancy E. Mosteller, who passed away on January 20, 2018. Leroy was born in Columbia, son of the late Harrison and Myrtle Sumpman Mosteller. He worked as a Security Guard for Kerr Glass for 20 years before his retirement in 1987. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during WWII; a member of the Red Rose Memorial VFW Post #2435; and the Columbia Fire Companies. He enjoyed fishing and camping.

He is survived by four sons: Darryl Mosteller; Leroy A. “Tony” (Jan) Mosteller; David (Kym) Mosteller; and Paul (Gretchen) Mosteller, all of Columbia. Five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. One brother: Donald. One sister: Pauline. Nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister: Gloria “Sis” Lingenfelter.

The Memorial Service will be held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 31 South Eighth Street, Columbia, on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. with visitation from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. followed by Full Military Honors. Private interment. Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to: the American Fallen Soldiers Project, 4275 Kellway Circle, Unit 132, Addison, TX 75001.
