Filbert K. Culp, III

Filbert K. Culp, III, 67, of Columbia, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018. He was the husband of Karen M. Schickling Culp, with whom he would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on May 12, 2018. He was born in Columbia, son of the late Filbert K. Culp, Jr. and the late Janet Krow Culp Fletcher. He was a millwright for Colonial Metals Company for 33 years before his retirement in 2003. He was an avid Baltimore Orioles and Penn State fan. He enjoyed hunting, going to the mountains, to the beach, playing softball, and was a member of the Columbia Fraternal Association.

Surviving in addition to his wife, one daughter: Stephanie L. Smith (Chuck Warfel), Columbia. One son: Jason M. (Chasity) G. Culp, Salunga. Six grandchildren: Cain, Andrew, Ian, Jenna, Mya, and Javyn. Two brothers: Dennis (Cindy) Culp, and Bernie Culp. Five sisters: Susan (David) McCredie; Sandy (Stewart) Chronister; Sheila Loreto (Rob McLean); Sheena Hutchinson; and Mary Sauder. He was preceded in death by four siblings: Sharon, Russel, Ed, and Tod.

The Memorial Service will be held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 31 South Eighth Street, Columbia on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. with visitation from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to: the Parkinson’s Council, 111 Presidential Blvd., Suite 141, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
