Ruth Ann Gochnauer, 80, of Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Lancaster General Hospital. She was the wife of John B. Gochnauer, with whom she would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in September of 2025. She was born in Lebanon, daughter of the late Walter and Ruth Horst Hess. Ruth was a member of Manor Church. She was a homemaker, worked as a Real Estate agent, waitress/server, small business owner and worked at the former Heatherbank Nursing Center.
Surviving in addition to her husband, her son: Bradly J. (Marybeth) Gochnauer, Strasburg. Three grandchildren: Emma, Drew and Molly. Siblings: John Hess; Jim (Susan) Hess; Earl (Ann) Hess; Sheryl (Bill) Quickel and Dick Hess. She was preceded in death by one son: Philip R. Gochnauer and three brothers: Bob, Clarke and Roy Hess.
