David A. Funk, Sr.

 
 

David A. Funk, Sr., 74, of Manor Township, passed away at home, on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, with his loving wife by his side. He was the husband of Kathy M. Smith Funk to whom he was married for 43 years. David was born in Lancaster, son of the late B. Milton and Mary E. Brooks Funk. He was a lifetime member of Central Manor Church and a graduate of Penn Manor High School, Class of 1969 and Millersville University, Class of 1973. He was by employed with Funk Brothers, Inc. for many years before starting his own small paving company where he worked until his retirement. He was an avid reader and enjoyed many outdoor activities, especially spending time in the mountains. David looked forward to attending Central Manor Camp Meeting every summer. 

Surviving in addition to his wife, three sons: David A. Funk, Jr.; Jeremy W. Funk and Dawson M. Funk. Three daughters: Rebekah E. Funk; Noelle M. (Jonathan) Weiler and April K. (Dustin) Love. Eight grandchildren. Two sisters: Mary Louise Haldeman and Margaret Flinchbaugh.

A Private Graveside Service and Burial will be held for the family with interment in Habecker Mennonite Cemetery.
