Marie M. Fox, 101, of Mountville, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026 in Lancaster. She was the wife of the late Harold R. “Toby” Fox, who passed away on June 8, 2008. She was born in Harrisonburg, Virginia, daughter of the late Joseph and Wilma Powers Grandle. Marie worked as a machine operator for Syntex for 20 years before her retirement in 1986. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
Marie is survived by two sons: Jim McCardle and Gary L. McCardle both of Lancaster. One step-son: James E. Fox, Lancaster. Two step-daughters: Jeanne Good, Lakeland, FL and Suzanne (Danny) Puckett, Kansas City, KS. Numerous grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren. Also numerous step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son: Earl McCardle, Jr. and one daughter: Judy A. McCardle.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Mountville on Friday, July 10, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Jeff Engroff, officiating.
