Donald B. Gaul

 
 

Donald B. Gaul, 76, of Landisville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 23, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Virginia M. "Ginny" Gaul, with whom he would have celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on September 26, 2026. He was born in Lancaster, son of the late Burnell M. and Arlene S. Breneman Gaul.

After graduating from Hempfield High School in 1969, he served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard from 1970-1976. He was a well respected member of the trucking industry for 54 years until his retirement from High Transit in 2023. He was well known for his green 1972 Kenworth A-Model and he was an active member of Washington Boro Church of God.

Don enjoyed spending time with his family, shooting trap, mowing his lawn and talking with friends and neighbors. Other highlights were vacations in the Outer Banks, Skyline Drive, and trips to Disney World, with his grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his wife, three daughters: Sherri L. (Michael C.) Steinmann, Maytown; Erica M. (Brian S.) Harden, New Holland and Jodie L. (Byron M.) Kelchner, Lancaster. Eight grandchildren: David Steinmann, Brady Steinmann, Chloe (Jordan) Benson, Lurene (Logan) Mason, Emma (Dallas) Miller, Hannah Ehrenzeller, Isaac Kelchner, and Gracie Kelchner. Two great-grandchildren: Piper Benson and Stetson Miller. Two sisters: Donna (Allen) Carle, Allentown and Carol Sheaffer-Hayes (Barry Hayes), East Petersburg.

The Graveside Service and Burial will be held at Landisville Mennonite Cemetery, Church Street and Camp Meeting Road, Landisville on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor David Johnson, officiating.
