Carol Ann Markle, 75, of West Hempfield Township, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Paramount Senior Living, Maytown. She was the wife of the late Guy L. Markle, who passed away on July 3, 2026.
Carol was born in Steelton, daughter of the late Robert D. and Anna Mary Myer Kingsbury. She attended Elizabethtown College, Kutztown University and received her Masters Degree from the University of Scranton. She was a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry until her retirement in 2011.
She was a member of Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church and enjoyed reading, word games and puzzles.
Carol is survived by one son: Steven D. (Cheryl) Markle, Leola. One brother: Donald R. (Michelle) Kingsbury, Harrisburg and two nephews.
The Memorial Service will be held at Concordia Lutheran Evangelical Church, 3825 Concordia Road, Columbia, PA 17512, on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Mary Anne Kingsborough, officiating. The Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Interment in Blue Ridge Memorial Park. Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to: Concordia Lutheran Church.
