Clifton L. Gowing, 83, of Mountville, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026. He was the husband of Monique J. Levesque Gowing, with whom he celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on June 24, 2025. He was born in Montreal, Canada, son of the late Donald L. and Ivy May Petty Gowing. He was a purchasing manager for Hershey Foods and was the owner/operator of Lancaster Yellow Cab and YC Services. Clifton enjoyed boating on the Chesapeake Bay with his wife and also enjoyed playing pool and golf.

Surviving in addition to his wife, one son: Ryan C. (Andrea) Gowing. Two daughters: Carolyn N. (Michael) Oppenheim and Janie Prevost and also six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four siblings.
